Colt Enhanced Patrol Rifle 5.56 NATO 14.5" 30rd SBR

The Enhanced Patrol Rifle is Colt's 6920 pattern carbine built in a 14.5" short barrel configuration, and this is the factory registered NFA version rather than the pinned and welded rifle that shares the name. The 14.5" barrel is the length military and police units settled on decades ago because it gives up very little to a 16" gun on paper while shortening the whole package by a meaningful amount in a vehicle, a hallway, or a doorway.

Colt builds it on forged aluminum upper and lower receivers running the direct impingement gas system the M4 pattern has used from the start, which is a large part of why parts and armorer knowledge for these guns are everywhere. A Centurion free float M-LOK handguard covers most of the barrel and gives you room for a light and a forward sling point without touching the barrel itself. Magpul MBUS Pro flip sights come installed, and the collapsible stock covers the usual range of length of pull for shooters in and out of gear. Nothing about it is exotic. It is a Colt carbine, built short, and registered that way from the factory.
