Rock Island Armory 1911 TAC Ultra MS 10mm 4.25" 8rd Pistol

The TAC Ultra MS puts the 10mm Auto in a mid size 1911 with the extras most owners end up adding anyway. It has a 4.25" button rifled barrel, a full length guide rod and a full dust cover with a Picatinny accessory rail for a light or laser. The sights pair a dovetail fiber optic front with a low profile adjustable rear, so you can zero it to your load and still pick up the front post fast. The hammer and trigger are skeletonized, and the trigger has an adjustable overtravel stop.

The frame and slide are steel in a black matte parkerized finish, with a serrated slide, beavertail grip safety and black and gray G10 grips that lock into your hand when the 10mm starts to push back. Capacity is 8 rounds. The shorter mid size slide carries easier than a 5" gun while the all steel weight keeps full power loads under control. That makes it a good fit for woods carry where bears or hogs are a concern, a duty style home defense pistol, or simply a 10mm 1911 that does not need upgrades on day one. One magazine is included.
