Riley Defense RAK74 5.45x39 16.25" 30rd Teak Folding Rifle

The Riley Defense RAK74 puts a side folding triangular metal stock on a stamped AK-74 pattern rifle and dresses it in stained solid teak upper and lower handguards. It is chambered in 5.45x39mm, feeds from 30rd magazines and runs a 16.25" chrome lined barrel threaded M24x1.5 RH. Overall length is 35.25". The combination of a folding stock and warm teak wood gives it a look that sits between a military folder and a classic sporting AK.

The receiver is stamped steel and fully heat treated, while the trunnion, bolt and carrier are forged. Riley adds a few practical touches over the original pattern: a bolt hold open safety lever, an extended magazine release and a machined side rail for mounting an optic. The 90 degree gas block, bayonet lug and adjustable front and rear sights keep the traditional layout, and a cleaning rod rides under the barrel. Metal parts carry a black oxide finish. The 5.45x39mm round is light and fast with mild recoil, so this rifle is easy to shoot for long strings at the range and folds down short for storage in a smaller case.
