Mossberg 590RM 12 GA 18.5" 10rd Shotgun

The 590RM takes the Mossberg 590 pump and feeds it from a detachable box. Its double stack magazine was the first production double stack made for a pump action, and it packs 10 rounds of 2.75 inch 12 GA into a shorter footprint than a long tube. Reloading means swapping a magazine instead of thumbing shells one at a time, and the enlarged, beveled loading port with an exposed follower makes that swap fast. The 18.5 inch barrel has a Stand-Off muzzle and an integrated heat shield, and it is cylinder bore.

The controls borrow from the AR world. An ambidextrous rotary safety selector sits where an AR shooter expects it, and the flat profile trigger breaks crisp and smooth. A compact, ergonomic forend rides the pump, and the 5 position adjustable stock with a Magpul MOE pistol grip, interchangeable recoil pad and two QD sling ports adapts to different shooters or to wearing armor. A top Picatinny rail takes a red dot or other AR style optic. The receiver is aluminum and the gun weighs about 7.1 pounds, making it a solid choice for home defense or duty use.
