Mossberg 590R 12 Gauge 18.5 Inch Stand Off Barrel 6 Round Plus 1 Capacity Phosphate Finish

The Mossberg 590R Shotgun 12 ga. is a rugged pump-action from Mossberg's 590 series that blends duty-ready features with user-focused controls, and the 590R Rotary Safety Selector model adds an ambidextrous AR-style rotary safety for fast, intuitive manipulation in high-stress scenarios. With an 18.5" phosphate stand-off barrel and integrated heat shield, the 3" chamber and cylinder bore choke handle defensive loads and range rounds while the exposed follower and enlarged beveled loading port speed reloads and clearances; the 6+1 capacity and 7.10 lb weight keep the gun manageable for patrol, home defense, and tactical training. The flat profile trigger delivers a smooth, crisp break and the top Picatinny rail accepts AR-style optics or lights for low-light deployment, while the 5-position adjustable M.O.E. stock with interchangeable recoil pad and MOE pistol grip lets shooters dial length of pull from 12" to 15.25" for different body armor or carriage styles. If you're evaluating a security-grade pump shotgun that supports optic mounting, ambidextrous controls, and durable servicing, the 590R's combination of ergonomics, heat-shielded barrel, and familiar 590 platform reliability makes it a practical choice.
