Kimber Custom II 45 ACP 5" 7rd Two-Tone Pistol

The Kimber Custom II is the plain spoken full size 1911 that most of Kimber's line is measured against. This two tone version pairs a brush polished stainless steel frame with a brush polished black steel slide, and wears smooth and checkered rosewood grips. The 5" barrel and bushing are stainless steel and match grade, fitted for the kind of accuracy people buy a Kimber for. It holds seven rounds of 45 ACP in the magazine and weighs about 38 oz empty.

The controls are classic 1911: a high ride beavertail grip safety, extended thumb safety, checkered slide release and a skeletonized aluminum three hole trigger. Fixed low profile sights with a white dot front and two white dots at the rear are easy to pick up without snagging on clothing. A chamber indicator port at the rear of the barrel lets you see brass when a round is chambered. Front slide serrations help with press checks. It is a solid choice for a nightstand gun, bullseye practice or a first serious 1911.
