Kimber 1911 Next Gen Pro 9mm 4" 9rd Two-Tone Pistol

Kimber's Next Generation 1911 is a modern reworking of a design that never needed much help, and the changes are the ones owners actually asked for. The external extractor is the headline, replacing an internal part that has to be tuned when it starts giving trouble. The Pro length 4" bull barrel is crowned and runs without a bushing, which takes a wear part out of the front end and helps accuracy. Slides, frames and barrels are forged, machined tight and hand fitted, and Kimber builds more 1911s than anyone else, so there is a lot of practice behind the process.

This one carries a matte KimPro black slide over a matte stainless frame, a combination that shows the lines of the gun off well. The slide is cut for a red dot with a cover plate installed and an RMR pattern adapter plate included. Sights are a red front dot and a serrated black fixed rear. An ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, 32 lines per inch front strap checkering and a rounded heel handle the ergonomics. Black walnut G10 grips finish it, and two nine round magazines are included.
