Glock 19 Gen6 9mm 4.02" 10rd Pistol

The 19 has been the default answer to the one gun question for thirty years, and Gen6 sharpens it rather than reinventing it. The compact slide and 4.02 inch barrel sit on a frame short enough to conceal and long enough for a full firing grip, and the Gen6 changes all land in the places your hands actually touch. Palm swell through the middle of the grip, enlarged beavertail, extended textured thumb rest, and RTF6 texture spread across more of the frame than the previous generation covered.

The slide carries deeper angled serrations and the Gen6 optic ready system for mounting a red dot without a gunsmith. A flat faced trigger replaced the curved one, and the raised border around the slide stop lever keeps a high thumb from riding it. Glock's SAFE ACTION system is unchanged: three passive safeties, no external lever, and the same trigger press every round. Fixed sights come installed front and rear. Three magazines are in the box, each holding 10 rounds, which keeps this configuration workable in states that cap magazine capacity. For a first pistol, a truck gun, or the one that lives in the safe for everything else, the 19 remains hard to argue with.
