Kel-Tec KS7 Defender 12 GA 18.5" 6rd Vortex Crossfire Red Dot Shotgun

The KS7 keeps a full length 18.5" barrel inside a shotgun that measures just over 26" overall, which is the whole point of a bullpup. The tube holds six 3" shells, or seven if you load 2.75", and the gun weighs 6.8 lbs empty. That combination handles better in a hallway, a blind or the back of a truck than a conventional pump of the same barrel length, and the pump stroke is the same one every shotgun shooter already knows.

This Gen 2 Defender build arrives set up rather than bare. A Vortex Crossfire red dot rides the top rail with Magpul flip up sights underneath it, and a Magpul RVG vertical grip is mounted to the forend. The Gen 2 forend is the reason that grip fits: it has a five slot Picatinny section molded in for a grip or a light, plus a rail cap that covers the slots when you want the smooth original profile back. An aluminum follower runs in the magazine tube. Sights, optic and forward grip in one box means the gun is ready for a defensive role the day it comes home.
