IWI Zion Z-15 ARAD 5.56 NATO 16" 30rd Rifle

The Zion Z-15 ARAD is IWI's duty grade AR-15, and the operating system is what separates it from the rack of black rifles next to it. A short stroke gas piston with a two position gas regulator cycles the action instead of dumping combustion gas back into the receiver, so the rifle stays cleaner and keeps running when it is dirty or suppressed. The 16 inch barrel is free floated under a 15 inch M-LOK handguard with M-LOK sections at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, which leaves room for a light, a sling mount and a hand stop without stacking adapters.

Up top the ARAD uses a semi monolithic upper. Optics and other mounted gear sit on one continuous rail surface and hold zero, and the design allows fast barrel changes when the rifle needs a different length or profile. B5 Systems supplies the telescoping buttstock and grip, so length of pull adjusts for body armor, a heavy coat or a smaller shooter. One 30 round Magpul PMAG comes in the box. Controls, magazines and the manual of arms stay pure AR-15, which means anyone who already runs an M4 pattern carbine can pick this up and shoot it cold.
