About this product

The IWI Galil Ace Gen II continues the Galil line, first developed by IMI in the late 1960s with inspiration from the AK-47 and the Finnish Valmet RK 62. This is the 5.56 NATO rifle with a 16" cold hammer forged, chrome lined barrel, a long stroke gas piston and a closed rotating bolt, the AK derived action at the heart of every Galil. It takes 5.56 NATO STANAG (AR-15 pattern) magazines and comes with one 30 round magazine.

The Gen II updates make it a modern rifle. A full length two piece Picatinny top rail leaves room for an optic and magnifier, and a free float M-LOK forearm takes lights and grips. The reciprocating charging handle sits on the left side of the milled steel receiver, so your shooting hand stays on the grip. The trigger profile was updated, the safety got a shorter throw, and there is a left side thumb safety alongside the right side AK style selector. The side folding, adjustable buttstock accepts M4 style stocks, and the rifle comes with a Magpul CTR and riser. It weighs about 8.8 lbs without a magazine and measures 36" to 39" overall.
