Howa M1500 Fence Line 25 Creedmoor 22" 5rd Prairie Reaper Camo Rifle

Prairie Reaper camo over a burnt bronze barreled action, chambered in one of the more interesting cartridges to reach production in years. The 25 Creedmoor pushes long .257 bullets from a short action case, splitting the difference between a 243 and a 6.5 Creedmoor without asking for more shoulder. The barrel is 22", hammer forged, threaded at the muzzle with a brake installed, and the rifle holds five rounds.

The Fence Line series exists because a lot of hunting rifles never come back from the truck clean. Howa's 1500 action is the same one that has anchored chassis and precision builds for years: dual locking lugs, a 90 degree bolt lift, a spring loaded M16 style extractor, and a three position safety that lets you unload without dropping the striker. The HACT two stage trigger has a defined take up and a clean break. The stock is pillar bedded HTI synthetic with the Prairie Reaper pattern sprayed over it, tough enough to ride a fence line all week and quiet against brush.
