CVA Cascade Varmint Hunter 25 Creedmoor 20" 10rd FDE Kryptek Highlander Rifle

The Cascade VH, or Varmint Hunter, is the version of CVA's bolt gun aimed at people who shoot a lot of rounds in a sitting. It runs a heavy contour 20 inch barrel with a threaded muzzle, and the extra steel out front does two things that matter on a dog town: it soaks up heat across a string of shots and it settles the rifle down between them. Barrel and receiver are coated in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote, and a 20 MOA Picatinny rail sits on top so a scope has room to run its full adjustment range.

The stock is a rigid synthetic in Kryptek Highlander with an adjustable comb and a removable length of pull spacer, so you can set comb height to the scope instead of mashing your face into the wrong spot. The forend is flatter than the standard Cascade, which makes it sit still on a bag or a bipod. A 10 round magazine keeps reloading out of the way when coyotes come in as a pair, and the 25 Creedmoor chambering splits the difference between flat shooting varmint rounds and something that will still work on a deer sized animal.
