Diamondback DB15 SBR 5.56 NATO 11.5" 30rd Rifle

Diamondback's DB15 Diamond Series SBR is a factory short barrel rifle in 5.56 NATO with an 11.5" barrel. That length is the sweet spot for a suppressed 5.56: short enough to work in a vehicle or a hallway, long enough to keep velocity respectable and the gas system reasonably civil. Because it left the factory as a rifle rather than a pistol, it wears a real stock and shoulders the way a carbine should.

Receivers are machined from forged aluminum, and the whole rifle weighs about 6.4 pounds, which is light for a gun carrying a full stock and iron sights. Magpul supplies the furniture, and iron sights come installed, so there is a usable sighting system straight out of the box before an optic ever goes on. The handguard is a 9" M-LOK tube with an anti rotation attachment system, which keeps it locked in place under the torque of a mounted light or laser. Underneath the short barrel it is a standard AR-15: same magazines, same triggers, same parts bin, same manual of arms. One 30rd magazine comes with it. Short barrel 5.56 is loud without a suppressor, which is exactly what most buyers plan for this one anyway.
