About this product
The Sierra 5 is Dead Air's dedicated 5.56 can, built for hard use on carbines and short barrel rifles. It is rated for 5.56 NATO and 224 Valkyrie, carries a full auto rating and has no barrel length restriction. The knurled outer tube is there for grip when you mount or pull a hot can, not for looks, and the baffles are made to take sustained strings of fire.
This KM version comes set up for Dead Air's KeyMo quick detach system. In the box are a KeyMo adapter, a KeyMo flash hider for 1/2-28 muzzle threads and a flash hider end cap. Spin the flash hider onto the barrel once, and the can goes on and comes off by hand from then on. The body is 4.87 inches long without the adapter on a 1.5 inch tube, so it keeps a 5.56 carbine short and balanced. It is made for one job, and it handles that job with the barrel glowing.
