Dead Air Defense aimed the CT5P Patrol at the officer carrying a duty carbine, not the shooter at a bench. Reducing hearing loss risk, keeping muzzle concussion down inside a vehicle or a hallway, and not upsetting a rifle that has already been zeroed and set up were the stated priorities. The compact Triskelion baffle stack and the gas regulated, low backpressure layout follow from that job description.
Removing the hub interface bought a shorter, lighter can with very little point of impact shift, and the Gas Management System keeps bolt velocity near unsuppressed on direct impingement and piston guns alike. It handles 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC. This is the Flat Dark Earth build with the fixed Xeno adapter for 1/2-28 threads, drawing on lessons from the Lazarus 6 and Sandman X.
