About the Dead Air CT5P Patrol
Dead Air aimed the CT5P Patrol at police rifles. It is their first patrol specific can: gas regulated, compact, and built on a shortened Triskelion baffle stack. The target is officer survivability in the places a duty rifle actually gets fired, where muzzle concussion in a vehicle or a hallway and long term hearing damage are the real problems rather than sound signature alone.
Dropping the HUB interface shortened and lightened the can and cut point of impact shift. What is left threads straight onto 5/8-24 and adds 5.49" to the rifle. The Gas Management System holds bolt velocity close to unsuppressed on both direct impingement and piston guns, and the bore handles 6mm ARC as well as 5.56 NATO. Lessons from the Lazarus 6 and Sandman X series carry through the baffle work. The black finish is standard.
