Combat Armory CA-15 5.56 NATO 7.5" 30rd M-LOK Slim Rail Pistol

A 7.5" barrel is about as short as an AR-15 pistol gets before the design starts fighting itself, and that is exactly the point of this Combat Armory build. The gun is tiny by AR standards and tends to live in a truck, a pack or a cabinet by the bed rather than on a shooting bench. The receivers are aluminum, anodized black, with mil-spec internals installed throughout.

The barrel runs an M4 profile under a Melonite finish, with M4 feed ramps in the extension and 1/2-28 threads at the muzzle. On a barrel this short the muzzle device matters more than usual, and those threads take any standard device for the chambering. A 7" slim rail wraps the gas system and puts M-LOK slots close to the receiver without adding bulk to an already small gun. The magazine that comes with it holds 30 rounds. Combat Armory assembles the whole thing, so what arrives is a complete firearm rather than a parts list with a receiver at the bottom of it - which is the difference between shooting this weekend and shooting once the last part shows up.
