Cimarron No. 3 Schofield 45 Colt 3.5" 6rd Revolver

Major George W. Schofield of the 10th Cavalry designed this revolver as an improvement on Smith & Wesson's No. 3 American model, and the Army ordered nearly 8,000 of them. Its top break, rapid ejection system made it a favorite of horse soldiers, and later of Wells Fargo, lawmen and outlaws alike. Cimarron's Model No. 3 Schofield is a 2nd Model copied from an original in the company's collection of antique firearms.

This is the short version, with a 3.5" barrel in 45 Colt, a standard blue finish and two piece walnut grips marked with the DAL and CW inspector initials. Cimarron notes that its 45 Colt Schofields also handle the 45 Schofield cartridge. The short barrel makes it the handiest Schofield in the line and an easy gun to carry in a belt holster at a cowboy action match. Fans of the Schofield Kid in Unforgiven or Charlie Prince in 3:10 to Yuma will know the profile at a glance, and the 6 round cylinder and classic lines make it a shooter as well as a display piece.
