A 270 WSM in a rifle that weighs what a 243 usually does is the whole argument for the Ridgeline FFT. Christensen builds the stock with Flash Forged Technology, a carbon fiber monocoque shell that skips the internal filler most composite stocks hide, and the savings show up on the scale rather than in the shooting. Barrel work is where Christensen made their name. The 20" tube is stainless steel under an aerograde carbon fiber wrap, which sheds heat faster than plain steel of the same profile and cuts weight at the same time. The muzzle is threaded and comes with a removable stainless side baffle brake, which a short barreled short magnum genuinely needs. The steel receiver is machined on a Remington 700 footprint, so mounting hardware is easy to find, and a TriggerTech trigger handles the break. Rounds sit in an internal box magazine holding 4 behind an aluminum hinged floor plate, and an AICS conversion kit is offered if you would rather run detachable box magazines.
