About the Black Rain Ordnance Universal
Rimfire cans lead a rough life. They run unjacketed ammunition, they load up with fouling faster than any centerfire can, and they get soaked in solvent over and over. Black Rain built the Universal out of full stainless steel for that reason - it will not rust, and it shrugs off cleaning chemicals that aluminum cans cannot take.
It takes apart. A disassembly tool comes with it and the epsilon baffles pull straight out, which on a rimfire can is closer to a requirement than a feature. The body runs 6.1" long and 1" in diameter at 9 ounces, with a salt bath nitride finish and a direct thread mount. Rated for 17 and 22 rimfire, it adds 5.3" to the host, and sound reduction runs 24 to 33 decibels depending on what you feed it.
