Angstadt Arms Vanquish 22 Full Length Suppressed Barrel 22 LR 18"

This is the full length Vanquish 22, an 18 inch integrally suppressed 22 LR barrel. Angstadt Arms went with a fully rifled, baffle free core: gas gets trapped and metered inside the barrel itself instead of inside a stack of baffles, and standard velocity 22 LR leaves the muzzle subsonic and quiet. The gas trap system is maintenance free by design.

The practical side is maintenance. Baffles collect lead and carbon and eventually need service; there is nothing here to pick clean and nothing for a bullet to clip. Angstadt's argument for the longer barrel is accuracy. Short barrel designs with long monolithic cores may read slightly quieter on a meter, but they give up the velocity and precision of a real match grade rifle barrel, and a quiet miss is still a miss.
