Black Rain Ordnance Spec15 5.56 NATO 16" 30rd Rifle

The Spec15 is Black Rain Ordnance's take on the working AR-15, and it is put together the way somebody who shoots would spec one. The barrel is 16" with a black nitride treatment, the receivers are aluminum finished in matte black Cerakote, and an M-LOK handguard runs forward with slots for the light and sling hardware most people bolt on within a week of buying a rifle.

Furniture is chosen for weight rather than bulk. The Mission First Tactical Minimalist stock is a stripped down polymer design that keeps mass off the back of the gun, and a G.I. pattern grip handles the rest. The flat top upper carries a Picatinny rail from end to end, leaving room for irons behind an optic or a magnifier behind a dot. It is chambered in 5.56 NATO and feeds standard 30 round AR-15 magazines. This is the sort of carbine that gets bought as a first AR and then stays in the safe long after the owner has built two more, because there is nothing on it that needs replacing to make it shoot well.
