Auto-Ordnance 1911A1 Army 250th 45 ACP 5" 7rd Pistol

This commemorative 1911A1 honors the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Army on June 14, 1775, and the men and women who have served over its two and a half centuries. Auto-Ordnance built it with the artisans at Altered Arsenal as part of the "A Salute To Service" series, alongside a matching Thompson. It starts as the classic M1911A1 Government Issue profile chambered in 45 ACP with a 5" barrel.

The slide is OD Green Cerakote and the frame is Coyote Tan Cerakote, with the safety, slide stop and magazine release in contrasting black oxide. The right side of the slide reads "United States of America" under the ejection port, flanked by stars, with a 250th Anniversary banner in FX Gold Cerakote toward the muzzle. The left side carries bold ARMY lettering, and the top of the slide shows the layout of the Army dress uniform with gold buttons. The custom laser engraved wood grips show a colonial soldier on the right panel and a modern soldier on the left. Sights are a blade front and a rear that drifts for windage. It comes with one 7 round magazine. It shoots like any GI 45, but most of these will end up in a display case.
