American Tactical GSG-16 22 LR 16.25" 22rd Rifle

The GSG-16 is a 22 LR carbine with the look of a modern tactical rifle and the mild manners of a rimfire. It is built off the classic GSG 22 operating system and runs semi auto from a 22 round magazine. The 16.25" barrel ends in a faux suppressor, so you get the look with none of the paperwork. Feed it high velocity ammo, since that is what the maker recommends, and it is an easy gun to shoot all afternoon.

The polymer receiver keeps it light at 5.84 lbs, and the M-LOK handguard with a lower Picatinny rail takes a light, a grip or a laser. The collapsible stock has a storage compartment for a spare magazine, so you carry your reload on the gun. Quick acquisition front and rear sights are ready out of the box. The charging handle is ambidextrous, as is the safety, which suits lefties and right handers alike. If you still have old GSG-5 or 522 magazines, stick and rotary types work here as well. For plinking, teaching a new shooter or practicing AR style gun handling, this is a fun rifle to have around.
