Chiappa Firearms Little Badger Xtreme 22 LR 16.5" Rifle

The Little Badger Xtreme is a folding single shot 22 LR built to ride in a pack until you need it. Open the break action, fold the gun in half, and it drops into the included tube case with carry strap. The 16.5" steel barrel is threaded 1/2-28 at the muzzle, and the aluminum receiver carries a quad Picatinny forend for a light, optic or sling mount. A steel rod stock keeps the weight down.

Loading is one round at a time: open the action, drop in a cartridge, close it and cock the hammer. Military style sights come standard, with an adjustable rear. The finish is black throughout. The rimfire chambering keeps noise and recoil mild, and 22 LR ammunition is easy to find, so a pocketful of cartridges goes a long way. It is a simple, light rimfire for camp, trail or truck, and a good first rifle for a young shooter learning marksmanship one shot at a time.
