Winchester Xpert Shadow SR 17 WSM 18" 8rd Rifle

17 WSM is the fastest rimfire cartridge in production, and the Xpert Shadow SR is Winchester's working platform for it. The steel receiver comes drilled and tapped with a two piece scope base in the box, which you will need since no iron sights are fitted. The 18" button rifled barrel wears a matte black finish, carries a target crown, and is threaded at the muzzle so a suppressor or brake can go on. A Bentz style chamber keeps accuracy tight.

Winchester's Rimfire M.O.A. trigger uses three adjustment levers for take up, weight, and overtravel, which is not something you normally get on a rimfire at this level and it makes a real difference behind a varmint rifle. The stock is black molded polymer with two sling eyelets and a Picatinny accessory rail at the fore end tip for a bipod. An 8rd rotary magazine feeds it, with an ambidextrous release you can hit from either side. The bolt has an extended handle and a short throw that clears low mounted optics. Between the flat trajectory of the 17 WSM and a trigger you can actually tune, this rifle reaches ground squirrels and coyotes at distances a 22 WMR cannot cover.
