Winchester SXP High Grade Upland Field 12 GA 26" 4rd Shotgun

The SXP High Grade Upland Field is Winchester's pump gun dressed for bird season. The aluminum alloy receiver carries an engraved upland game scene under a gloss blued finish, and the stock is Grade II walnut with a satin oil finish rather than the synthetic that comes on the working versions of this gun. It is a field shotgun that also looks right standing in a cabinet, which is most of the reason the High Grade exists.

Under the decoration it is a Super X Pump, which means the inertia assisted action Winchester built the line's reputation on. A rotary bolt with four lugs locks straight into the barrel, and the action cycles quickly enough that the SXP has a legitimate claim to being the fastest pump on the market. The 26" vent rib barrel wears a black chrome finish and a TruGlo fiber optic front sight. Chambers take 3" shells and the magazine holds 4rd of 2.75" loads. Three Invector-Plus choke tubes come with it in full, modified, and improved cylinder, which covers a tight grouse cover through open field dove shooting. The crossbolt safety reverses for left handed shooters, the speed plug system makes plugging the magazine a tool free job, and an Inflex pad sits on the butt. A 26" barrel is the shorter of the two upland lengths and the better pick where the gun has to come up fast in thick cover.
