Winchester Model 70 Featherweight 270 Win 22" 5rd Rifle

Few rifles are recognized as quickly as the Winchester Model 70 Featherweight. The Grade I walnut stock has a satin finish, classic Featherweight cut checkering, an angled comb and a Schnabel fore end, and the metal is brush polished and blued. It is a traditional hunting rifle meant to be carried through the woods and up the ridge, not left on the bench.

This one is chambered in 270 Win with a 22 inch cold hammer forged, free floating Featherweight profile barrel and a recessed target crown. The forged steel receiver has an integral recoil lug and is bedded front and rear to hold zero. Pre-'64 style controlled round feed with a claw extractor keeps control of the cartridge from magazine to ejection, and the three position safety shows its status at a glance. The M.O.A. Trigger System has zero take up, zero creep and zero overtravel. The internal magazine holds 5 rounds, with one piece alloy bottom metal. The bolt body is jeweled, the handle is knurled, and a Pachmayr Decelerator pad handles recoil. At 7 lbs, it is a classic deer and pronghorn rifle.
