About this product

The Winchester Model 1873 Carbine brings classic lever-action performance into a ready-to-shoot sporter package, chambered in 45 Colt with a 10+1 capacity and a 20" brushed polish blued sporter barrel that balances handling and sight radius for hunting, range work, and Cowboy Action competition. Its brushed polish blued steel receiver and blade front with ladder rear sights give a traditional sight picture, while the straight-grip black walnut stock with satin oil finish feels velvet smooth in the hand and resists the elements for long days in the field. Shooters will appreciate the smooth steel loading gate and the 1:26" twist that stabilizes common 45 Colt projectiles; the rear tang is drilled and tapped for an optional tang-mounted rear sight when a more precise sight picture is desired. At about 7.40 lbs and 39" overall length, this right-hand lever-action balances for fast follow-up shots and comfortable carry. Whether used as a ranch rifle, a Cowboy Action competition gun, or a brush gun for medium game, the Winchester 1873 series blends historic styling with modern fit, finish, and reliability.
