Winchester 1873 Competition Carbine 45 Colt 20" 10rd Rifle

This Winchester Model 1873 Competition Carbine High Grade is chambered in 45 Colt, the classic big bore cowboy cartridge, and it is set up to run fast. Winchester performance tuned the lever action and shortened the lever stroke, which means less hand movement and quicker follow up shots when every second counts on the firing line.

Everything else is traditional 1873. The steel receiver, side plates, lever, barrel band and carbine buttplate carry a color case hardened finish, and a saddle ring rides on the receiver. The 20 inch round barrel is button rifled and polished blued, with a full length tube magazine underneath that holds 10 rounds. Grade III/IV walnut with an oil finish forms the straight grip stock. The top tang is drilled and tapped for an optional peep sight, sold separately. At roughly 7.25 lbs and 39 inches long, it carries easily between stages and points naturally. It makes a strong match gun for 45 Colt shooters, and a handsome piece of Winchester history for a collector who wants the real thing instead of a copy.
