Weatherby Vanguard Arctic Pro 223 Rem 16" White Rifle

A 16 inch barrel makes this the shortest Arctic Pro in the family and the easiest one to handle in thick cover or out of a truck. It is still a full Vanguard action with the SUB-MOA guarantee behind it, still cold hammer forged, and still finished in white Cerakote from the receiver forward. The stock is a weather resistant synthetic with a Monte Carlo comb and a hand painted arctic pattern. Peak 44 rails handle the mounting work, with 20 MOA of built in elevation up top and an ARCA and Picatinny strip on the forend.

In 223 Rem the short barrel costs a little velocity and buys back a lot of maneuverability, which is a trade predator callers make on purpose. Ammunition is cheap and sits on every shelf, recoil is light enough that new shooters do not flinch, and the cartridge is legal on deer in a number of states that allow it. The threaded muzzle takes the included brake or a can. With a suppressor mounted the rifle still measures up like a standard sporter, which is the whole point of starting short.
