Weatherby Model 307 Adventure SD 375 H&H Mag 24" 3rd Walnut Rifle

The Model 307 is Weatherby's newer action, a two lug cylindrical design meant to drop into stocks, triggers, and bottom metal that already exist in the aftermarket instead of demanding proprietary parts. The Adventure SD dresses that action in fancy walnut with a rosewood forend cap, which is a rare sight on a rifle chambered in 375 H&H Mag at this end of the rack. The barrel is fluted, threaded, and finished in graphite black Cerakote, with an Accubrake sitting on the muzzle.

375 H&H is the old dangerous game standard and it still handles anything that walks, but it is honest about what it hands back to the shooter. The brake takes a large share of that recoil away and the weight of the walnut stock absorbs more, and that is the difference between a rifle a hunter actually practices with and one that sits in the safe until the week before a trip. The magazine holds 3rd. The receiver is stainless under the Cerakote and drilled and tapped for bases, and the action takes advantage of the same aftermarket support that made older push feed actions easy to live with. Classic caliber, classic wood, thoroughly modern rifle underneath.
