Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT 6.5 CM 16" Rifle

The Weatherby Model 307 Alpine MDT is a compact chassis rifle for hunters who pack in. This one is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a short 16 inch fluted barrel and a muzzle brake. The Model 307 is Weatherby's newest bolt action, a two lug, fully cylindrical design that sits alongside the Mark V and Vanguard. It was built to take the huge range of aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, mounts and magazines already on the market.

Weatherby teamed with MDT on the carbon fiber HNT26 chassis. The buttstock folds and cuts more than 9 inches off the overall length, so the rifle rides easily on a pack or behind a truck seat. The stock is adjustable. The fluted barrel, bolt and bolt knob are finished in graphite black Cerakote, with a graphite black trigger guard and receiver. 6.5 Creedmoor gives mild recoil and flat trajectories, a good fit for deer, pronghorn and practice at the range.
