Weatherby Mark V Backcountry Guide 300 PRC 22" 3rd Rifle

The Weatherby Mark V Backcountry Guide in 300 PRC is set up for hunters who carry a rifle a long way and still want long range power at the end of the hike. It has a 22 inch carbon barrel, a 3 round magazine and weighs about 6.2 pounds. The threaded muzzle comes with a machined titanium Accubrake ST, threaded 5/8-24.

The Peak 44 Blacktooth carbon fiber stock is hand painted, so each rifle looks a little different, and the forend has two Spartan Precision adapters installed for their ultralight bipods and accessories. The 3DHEX recoil pad has a honeycomb structure that collapses under recoil and turns a sharp kick into a push, which matters with a magnum class cartridge in a light rifle. The deep spiral fluted bolt cuts weight and cycles smoothly, and the TriggerTech trigger lets you set the pull weight. It fits elk, moose and sheep hunts where shots can stretch out.
