Tisas 1911 Spartan 45 ACP 5" 7rd Distressed Multi-Color Pistol

Tisas builds full size 1911s the old way — steel frame, 5" barrel, 45 ACP, seven in the magazine — and the Spartan takes that base and dresses it in a distressed multi color Cerakote that looks like a pistol with history behind it rather than one fresh out of a box. The slide carries serrations for a positive grip when working the action, and the frame is fitted with a beavertail at the tang so the web of the hand sits high and comfortable.

Grips are aluminum with engraving, a step up from the plastic panels these usually wear, and they put a little more weight low in the hand. That is really the story with a steel framed full size 1911: mass soaks up recoil, and 45 ACP pushes rather than snaps. The 5" barrel is the length that made the pattern famous, and the flat, narrow profile is a big part of why people still carry and shoot them more than a century on.
