Tisas 1911A1 Tank Commander 45 ACP 4.25" 7rd Nickel Pistol

Tisas builds the Tank Commander on a forged frame and a forged Commander length slide, and the gun leans hard on 1911A1 military lines with a short list of modern concessions. The barrel is 4.25", hammer forged and hard chrome plated, sitting behind a nickel finish that runs across the slide and the frame both. Walnut grips finish the look. Internals are Series 70, which means nothing extra sits in the trigger path, and that is the arrangement most 1911 shooters ask for when they care about how the trigger feels.

The practical work shows up in the details that matter on a 1911 you actually carry or shoot: the ejection port is lowered and flared so brass leaves cleanly, the magazine well is beveled for faster reloads, the mainspring housing is flat, and a beavertail grip safety keeps the hammer off the web of your hand. A commercial style thumb safety and fixed sights round it out. Two 7rd magazines come in the box along with a lockable hard case, a bushing wrench, a cleaning kit, and a trigger lock. Commander length is a sweet spot for a lot of shooters: three quarters of an inch shorter than a Government slide, which makes a real difference under a jacket, without the reliability headaches that come from chopping a 1911 down to a 3" barrel.
