Thompson Center Encore ProHunter 300 Win Mag 26" Stainless Rifle

The Encore ProHunter is a break open single shot, and that simplicity is the whole point. One round, one hammer, one barrel that comes off in seconds so the same frame can wear a different chambering next season. This one is set up in 300 Winchester Magnum with a 26" stainless barrel, fluted to cut weight and speed cooling, and threaded at the muzzle for a brake or a suppressor. Five groove rifling with angular lands reduces bullet deformation and jacket fouling, which also makes the bore easier to scrub at the end of a hunt.

The receiver is drilled and tapped and comes with a Picatinny rail, so mounting glass is straightforward. There are no iron sights, which keeps the barrel clean and lets the scope sit low. FlexTech in the synthetic stock uses compression arches to soak up recoil and a Limbsaver AirTech pad handles the rest, both of which count for something behind a magnum.
