CVA Scout 338 ARC 16.5" Stealth Gray Rifle

The CVA Scout is a single shot break action rifle, and that simplicity is the whole point. There is no magazine, no bolt to short stroke, and very little to go wrong, which leaves a light rifle that opens, loads, closes and fires. This one is chambered in 338 ARC, a modern cartridge built for heavy for caliber bullets at subsonic and supersonic speeds, and the 16.5 inch barrel is threaded at the muzzle so it can wear a can. Metal is matte blued and the synthetic stock is stealth gray.

A DuraSight rail is fitted at the factory, so glass goes on straight away and the receiver stays clean. CVA has sold Scouts for years on a simple argument: one well placed shot is what actually fills a tag, and a single shot rifle puts everything into the barrel and the trigger instead of a magazine and a repeating action. The short barrel keeps the rifle handy in a blind or a tree stand, the break open action makes chamber checks obvious, and the whole rifle weighs little enough to carry on a long walk in. Pair it with a modest scope and a suppressor and it becomes a quiet, compact woods gun.
