Taurus Raging Hunter 357 Mag 5.12" 7rd Revolver

The Taurus Raging Hunter in 357 Magnum puts seven rounds in a large frame cylinder. It also fires 38 Special and 38 Special +P, which makes practice cheap and easy. This model has a 5.12" ported barrel with a Picatinny rail running along the top, ready for a red dot or handgun scope, plus a fixed front and adjustable rear sight if you prefer irons.

Porting and a gas expansion chamber direct gas upward to keep the muzzle down, and that effect is strong in a 357 that already weighs 49 oz unloaded. The finish is matte black oxide over steel, the barrel shroud is black, and the black rubber grip carries a red cushioned insert to soak up recoil. The action is double action/single action with a transfer bar safety. Overall length is 11.5". This is a revolver for deer and hog hunting at short to medium range, a solid field gun for hikers, and a soft shooting magnum at the range. The angular barrel design keeps weight down compared with a solid barrel of the same length.
