The XD-M Elite OSP in 10mm Auto is Springfield Armory's answer for shooters who want a service size pistol with real power behind it. The META trigger is the centerpiece, a flat faced unit with a crisp break and an integral overtravel stop that feels closer to a tuned competition trigger than something that came in a factory box. The slide is cut for an optic and serrated front and rear with larger grasping grooves, so racking it wet, cold, or gloved is not a fight. Under it sits a black polymer frame with a Picatinny rail for a light or a laser.

The 4.5" barrel is hammer forged and match grade, which matters in 10mm where hot loads and cheap barrels do not mix well. A captive recoil system handles the pressure, and the extended flared magwell speeds up reloads while adding a little grip length to hang on to. The slide stop is ambidextrous, and there is a loaded chamber indicator on top of the slide. Fifteen rounds of 10mm in one magazine is a lot of authority for trail carry, hunting backup, or a nightstand. Two magazines and a case come in the box.
