Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C 9mm 4" 18rd FDE Gear Pac Pistol

The Echelon 4.0C is the carry sized version of Springfield Armory's Echelon. A 4" barrel and a shortened grip take length and height out of the full size gun without giving up what made the platform work. The Variable Interface System is the headline: instead of stacking an adapter plate, the slide accepts most popular red dot footprints directly, which keeps the optic low and removes a joint that can loosen. Tritium front and tactical rack rear U-Dot irons back the dot up and stay usable in bad light. The billet machined slide wears a flat dark earth finish that carries through to the grip module.

This is the Gear Pac configuration. Along with the pistol you get a Viridian RFX11 green dot, a premium pistol bag, and four magazines, one 15rd and three 18rd. Eighteen rounds in a compact 9mm is a real advantage over most guns in this size class. The grip texture holds on under recoil without shredding a cover shirt, the slide stop works from either side, and the magazine release swaps over for left hand shooters. The trigger has a flat face and a short, positive reset. For anyone who wants Echelon features in a package that hides under a shirt, the 4.0C is the one to look at.
