About the Sonicore Paradox DT 5.56mm
The Paradox DT is the light one. Sonicore machines it from aluminum with stainless steel inside and anodizes it black with a non glare finish. The aluminum baffle modules, each carrying a stainless steel insert to form a steel core, are where the weight comes out. For a hunter carrying a rifle a long way in, that is the whole pitch.
The body is modular. Pull a module and the can gets shorter when maneuverability matters more than sound reduction, which is a real consideration in tight cover. An integrated stainless steel muzzle brake at the rear spins gas in a direction that continuously tightens the can onto the threads rather than working it loose. It threads 1/2-28 direct and runs 7.6" long by 1.77" in diameter.
