Smith & Wesson M&P Shield X 9mm 3.6" 15rd Midnight Bronze Pistol

Smith & Wesson stretched the Shield to build the Shield X. The grip runs longer than a standard Shield, which is where the extra rounds come from: a 13rd magazine sits flush and a 15rd magazine extends the grip slightly, and both come with the pistol. Barrel length stays at 3.6" and the slide stays narrow, so the gun still rides flat inside the waistband. Front and rear serrations are cut deep enough to get purchase without sanding the skin off your palm.

The slide is milled flat for RMSc and K footprint optics and uses the ClearSight cut, which vents propellant gas away from the optic window instead of straight into it. A short accessory rail takes a subcompact light. The magazine release swaps sides without tools for left hand shooters, and a frame mounted thumb safety is fitted. Midnight bronze is the finish here, a warmer and browner tone set against the black polymer frame and controls. Underneath the color it is a striker fired 9mm built for people who carry every day and would rather not give up rounds to do it.
