Smith & Wesson, M&P15 Sport III, .223 Rem/5.56 NATO, 16 inch, 10+1, Armornite Finish

The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport III brings a reader-friendly mix of features for hunters, range shooters and duty users who want a reliable AR-15 platform without fuss; as part of the M&P series, this Sport III model builds on earlier Sport generations with a more accessory-ready free-float handguard, full-length Picatinny top rail on a black Armornite 16" threaded barrel and a mid-length gas system that reduces felt recoil for faster follow-up shots. Chambered in 223 Rem/5.56 NATO with a 1:8" twist 5R rifled barrel and an A2 flash hider, the rifle supports a wide selection of bullets with consistent bore engagement for improved accuracy, while the forged integral trigger guard, chromed firing pin, forward assist and dust cover add durability and reliability in field or range conditions. The lightweight aluminum receiver, six-position black synthetic stock and black polymer grip keep the 6.40 lb platform maneuverable for hunting and practical shooting, and the threaded muzzle and 10+1 capacity make it adaptable for muzzle devices or suppressors where legal. If you want an affordable semi-auto rifle that's rugged, accessorized and ready for customization, the M&P15 Sport III covers the bases shooters expect from Smith & Wesson.
