Smith and Wesson M and P15 Sport Iii .223 Rem/5.56 Nato 16 inch 10+1 Armornite

The M&P15 Sport III from Smith & Wesson is a hard-working AR-style semi-auto rifle that blends range-ready accuracy with duty-grade handling, offering a 16" heavy 5R rifled barrel chambered in .223 Rem/5.56 NATO and a 1:8" twist for reliable stabilization of a wide selection of bullets. Its 15" free-floating M-LOK handguard on a mid-length gas system reduces muzzle rise and softens recoil impulse, which helps when running strings at the range, doing defensive drills, or stalking medium game with permissible calibers and local laws. The black Armornite finish, aluminum Picatinny rail receiver and fixed black synthetic stock with a textured polymer grip make the rifle rugged and low-maintenance for field carry, training classes, and duty use, while the thumb safety and heavy barrel profile deliver controllable follow-up shots and barrel harmonics that benefit accuracy-focused shooters. With an overall length near 34" and a weight around 6.4 lbs, the Sport III balances maneuverability and stability for carbine drills, 3-gun practice, or precision-oriented plinking. As part of Smith & Wesson's M&P rifle family, this model carries the brand's emphasis on ergonomics and reliability and requires transfer through an FFL as regulated.
