The Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 SPORT is a rimfire take on the AR platform that brings realistic AR ergonomics and controls to affordable .22 LR shooting, featuring a 16.50" carbon steel barrel with a 1:15" twist, 25+1 capacity, and a flash suppressor on a matte black metal finish for a familiar look and reduced muzzle signature, and it requires an FFL transfer. The SPORT series uses a lightweight aluminum receiver and a 10" M&P slim handguard with Magpul M-LOK for easy mounting of accessories without removing the handguard, while the included 2" M-LOK rail panel lets you add Picatinny-spec attachments; Magpul MBUS front and rear folding sights, a Magpul MOE SL slim stock and MOE SL grip provide genuine Magpul ergonomics and reduce weight to about 4.90 lbs with a 33.80" overall length, and the two-stage trigger, functioning charging handle, shell deflector and two-position receiver-mounted safety give realistic training value for new shooters and AR owners.
