This is the capacity restricted build of the SIG516 G3 Freedom Package, shipped with a 10rd magazine so it can go home in states that limit magazine size. The rifle itself is unchanged. A short stroke gas piston drives the carrier from the front of the gun rather than dumping gas into the receiver, so the bolt carrier group runs cooler and cleaner than a direct impingement AR, and the three position gas block lets you tune for a can or for a filthy rifle.

The 16" cold hammer forged barrel wears a Sig flash hider compensator and sits inside a free float M-LOK handguard. Both the rear and side charging handles are non reciprocating, which matters the moment you have an optic and a support hand where the brass is going. Controls work from either side, steel reinforcement is built into the high wear areas of the receiver, and the Matchlite Duo curved trigger comes standard. Stock is telescoping.
