Tisas 1911 A1 Tank Commander 45 ACP 4.25" 7rd Pistol

The Tisas 1911 A1 Tank Commander takes the WWII service pistol look and puts it on a Commander length slide. The 4.25" barrel and shorter slide ride on a full size forged steel frame, so you keep the full grip for control while shaving length for carry. It has the plain, dark military look of an issue gun with small upgrades that make it easier to shoot: enhanced GI style sights that are easier to see than the originals, a flat mainspring housing, and walnut grips.

Inside it uses Colt Series 70 pattern internals, and the barrel is cold hammer forged. It is chambered in 45 ACP and feeds from 7 round single stack magazines, and two magazines come in the box along with a lockable hard case, a cleaning kit, a bushing wrench, a trigger lock and the manual. Weight is about 34 oz unloaded. It fits the buyer who likes the tanker pistol story and wants a traditional steel 1911 that is a little easier to carry than a Government model.
