About this product
The Rock Standard FS from Rock Island Armory is a full size 1911 in 45 ACP built on the traditional Series 70 design. It has a 5 inch button rifled barrel, and both the frame and slide are stainless steel with a matte finish. The slide carries double wide slant serrations and a traditional roll over ejection port, and the gun runs from an 8 round magazine.
The Rock series is the better equipped end of the Rock Island lineup, so this pistol comes with the upgrades most people add to a basic 1911. You get a skeletonized hammer, a beavertail grip safety and an ambidextrous thumb safety, plus a smooth, snag free low profile rear sight that clears holsters and clothing on the draw. Double diamond checkered wood grips finish it off. It is California compliant. For a stainless 45 that is ready for the range, the nightstand or a first step into 1911s, the Rock Standard FS is a solid all steel option.
